We've reached the championship series for the College World Series. UCLA is taking on the newcomer to the finals, Mississippi State.

In the GreenJackets dugout the battle lines have been drawn between Chris Stratton, Bulldog, and Trevor Brown, Bruin.

Both guys are in their first seasons of Minor League Ball, so they have plenty of connections with their former teams.

Also true...they left college a year early to pursue their pro ball dreams. That makes this a little bittersweet considering they could be in Omaha right now playing for the title.

"It's always in the back of your mind," Stratton said. "But I know I made the right decision. Like I said, I'm really happy for the guys. My wife is actually there right now to support them so 'Go Dawgs.'"

Brown added, "A couple of the guys there I roomed with just last year, and then I'm really good friends with a bunch of the guys that are a year younger than me. I've been talking with them, texting with them wishing them good luck, so I hope they can pull it off."

They've found a way to still be involved. At the coaxing of Pitching Coach Steve Kline, the losers team will have to carry the winner's laundry bags for the next week.
