Paine College sweeps SIAC battle with Claflin

Augusta, Ga--Paine College picked up a conference sweep of Claflin Thursday night at the HEAL Complex. The men win 78-66 while the women won 64-52

For the men, the Lions jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Mario Jordan poured in a game high 19 points while Jerel Stephenson added a dozen while grabbing 10 rebounds.

Paine is now 6-5 in the SIAC and 8-11 overall.

For the women, they maintain in the race for the top spot in the SIAC with a 64-52 win over the Lady Panthers.

Ashley Watts tallied 27 points while Ariel Brown totaled 15 while grabbing a game high 18 rebounds in the win. The Lady Lions are now 7-3 in conference, 9-11 overall.
