Augusta, Ga--Paine College will hit the road to Florida this weekend to start the season. Big things expected around the Lion program and for good reason.

Tons of experience up and down the roster and they should only get better as the season goes along. Led by Kenny Fluellen, Kedric Taylor, Darius Smith and company, the bar has been set high. They didn't get a lot of love in the preseason with the other coaches voting them to finish third. Pretty good motivation if you ask these guys.

"Yea, we're not settling for third, we feel a little disrespected with that so it's just adding more fuel to the fire for us" said Kedric Taylor

"When you return nine, ten guys from last year's team and I think they think they had a chance to win last year and we should have probably. Now you have veteran guys and they're mad about it, there's no question" said Jimmy Link

Look for this team to really get better in mid december. Former Virginia Commonwealth standout Toby Veal should be eligable to play and Jerel Stephenson could rejoin the team as well. Lions play Nova Southeastern to start the season.
