Aiken, SC--Ready or not here it comes, the start of the college basketball season. Big things expected at the home of the Pacers and for good reason. Vince Alexander has an experienced team with expectations of competing for a title.

Ten seniors on the roster, led by the likes of Ronald Zimmerman, Paul Larsen, and Santoine Butler. They did lose team leader Re'mon Nelson and Alexander is looking for someone else to take over that role. With two games against Ole Miss and South Carolina this weekend, they'll find out a lot about themselves real quick.

"I mean we're tired of beating up on each other" said Santoine Butler "It'll be nice to get a feel and get out there and get against somebody else, I know my guys are ready"

"I'm not sure if they believe me yet when I say we have a lot of work to do" said Vince Alexander "Certainly after this weekend, and playing those two teams, I think they'll see that we do have some work to do even if we do fare well I thinkk they'll still come out believing we have some work to do"

Look for Devonte Wright to play more of a leadership role at the guard spot. Next week, the team hits the road again as they'll open the season with a tournament in Puerto Rico.
