Warrenton, Ga--Let's face it, there's only one way to go for Warren County, up. When you go winless, a lot of folks think it was a disaster. But with it being Cherard freeman's second year at the helm, he saw a lot of positives.
Most noteably, they had 14 freshman on the field and were simply outclassed by bigger, stronger, and better teams. It was a major point of emphasis during the summer. You won't win titles during June and July but the Screaming Devils got in the weight room so they could finish off games, instead of getting pushed around all the time.
"A lot of people are talking about the 0 and 10 seaosn and everybody is talking about how we can do it differently and how we can go out there with a better attitude and mindset then we did last year." said senior Anquavious Hill
"What we gained was expierence as a team and as a group went great" said Cherard "The kids understood what we were trying to do and we just got outplayed. When I say outplayed, people were just stronger then us, faster then us and I think this summer we kind of evened the playing lines just a little bit."
All those underclassmen have experience including junior quarterback Jermaine Berry. He also feels being mentally and physically tougher will make Warren County a vastly different team this year.
