Evans, Ga--For elite athletes at the highest level there really aren't many off days. It could be long after your season but you'll find them in the gym or doing whatever it takes to get even better. For Olympic long jumper George Kitchens, that's certainly the case.
Kitchens still isn't exactly a household name so he's doing all the right things as he trains the season ahead. A lot of days you can find him at Evans Fitness Club. He's serving two fold..one a place for him to work out and two, a place where he can help others.
"It's good because there's a lot of things they don't understand" said George Kitchens "You see instant improvement in their mechanics and their agility and their speed work. So it's very gratifiying and it gives you a lot of satisfaction to come and see them do well."
Kitchens season starts in april and will culminate with the world championships in Moscow, Russia in mid august.
