Augusta, Ga--State swimming championships are up for grabs this weekend in South Carolina. A pretty strong contingent of kids from the area will be in the pool in Columbia.
Among them, North Augusta's Nicole Fuller. The Yellow Jacket senior has three state titles to her credit already in the 500 and 200 meter freestyle events and is favored to add a couple of more. Swimming in the high school season is a lot different then the club season but fuller is fortunate she has teammates Kelse Williams pushing and Elizabeth Creech that can push her in practice.
"Especially in the high school season, like the beginning when you're only training with your high school team and not your usual year around swimmers" said Nicole Fuller "You've got someone there that's going to make sure you are putting the amount of effort in that you need to be and you're giving it your all and you're not slacking"
Most of the kids will also compete in the relays and look for a bunch of medals to come back to the CSRA this weekend from the state swim meet.
