Evans, Ga--Since summer has arrived and kids are now out of school, time for sports camps to heat up. For the next four Tuesdays, the f-c-a is once again hosting their 7 on 7 passing league, hey, it's football folks!

One of the biggest things to watch this time of year, new coaches taking the reins for the first time. We have a bunch of them in the area this year, including Josey's Raleigh Roundtree and Aquinas' James Leonard. Both guys have been assistants with their programs for awhile, but stepping in as the head coach makes early summer camps that much more important.

"I get to see what I have, what athletes I have, what talent I have, what we need to work on. When you're going against your own guys, you don't see as much. When you go against somebody else, you get to see different techniques and things."

"I think it's very important. You get your guys out here. It help us get used to getting back in the habit of calling plays and calling defenses and knowing what your guys can do, knowing if they know what to do in each situation. These things are very good this early in the year."

A number of local teams are playing in the FCA 7-on-7 camps. The camps go on at Greenbrier every Tuesday night for the rest of this month.
