Edgefield, SC--Year after year we usually find Wardlaw playing for the eight man state title in South Carolina. They have brought home their fare share of hardware. This year, the road to the title may be a little harder

Lost a lot of guys off a team that's played for the title in two of the last three years. They also lost a head coach. Mark Rodgers comes in from Ridge Spring Monetta to run the Patriots. With a lot of new guys, look for Malik Lee to get the ball a lot. Only a sophomore, Lee proved he can run with the best of 'em and rogers plans on using the weapon he has.

"I'm a firm believer you dance with the horse that brought you." said Mark Rodgers "If he's open at nights, he's going to see it. If they've taken him away we got other people who can step up and make moves."

"It helps a lot and a lot of the depth helps a lot, that helps a lot with the players because last year there was a lot of everybody going both ways."

Lee won't have to do it all as the patriots have a little more depth then usual. Rodgers brings with him some of his schemes from years gone by but has simplified the offense much to the delight of the kids. Expect this team to pile up the wins as the season rolls along.
