Augsuta, GA -- Some of the best competitors you'll see in junior golf were at Augusta's First Tee Friday for a Drive, Chip and Putt Qualifier.

This is the first step in being a national finalist at Augusta National Golf Club next April, so local kids were especially motivated to get the job done.

Two of those were Alonzo Miller and Chancellor Huggins. Both kids have seen The Masters in person, and even though they didn't get through Friday's qualifying, they're even more motivated to keep trying.

Miller said, "I wanted to play there because I hear that it's really hard playing there at The Masters, so I want to try it out for myself."

Huggins added, "It's pretty much the best course out here. A lot of pros play there. I guess everybody really gets inspired to go play at the same place as they do."

The top two placers in each age group Friday advance to the region qualifier next month in Atlanta.
