Fifty teams have been pared down to a single one. When our "Gone Camping" series started in August, we promised to show you all fifty teams we'd be covering throughout the season...one of those being Burke County.

At the time, the question was how to replace quarterback Terrell Brigham. Well, three months later, that question and more have easily been put to rest.

The Bears have proven themselves over and over, but now it's time to do it again...this time in the state semi-finals against Carrolton.

Head Coach Eric Parker knew his team was good, but they've even surprised him at times this year.

"My mentality has always been to always put yourself in the best position you can, and whatever happens, happens," Parker said. "Our kids took that to heart, did a good job, won the region, and got homefield advantage. Things have just worked out really good for us, and here we are. Now we need to just get prepared for a good Carrolton team."

The Bears will certainly have their hands full with the undefeated Trojans.

Carrolton is beating teams by an average score of 45-6, and they have six shutouts in those 13 games.
