Augusta, Ga--17 teams from the CSRA are still going strong in the state football playoffs and the battles get tougher from here on out. For the second straight game, the Laney Wildcats will again get to host in class 2A.

There challenge will be as tough as ever, taking on a 10 and 1 Vidalia team. Don't sleep on the Cats. They had some early injuries but now have reeled off a seven game win steak and are simply dominating the competition. On average, winning by a score of 35 to 4. These kids have a ton of confidence going forward and it all starts with a strong defensive unit.

"That defense it means a lot to us. I call them the red sea. No one's parting the red sea. It's a big part of our team. The intensity that they bring to our offense." said Hortaio Keller

"We're really believing in each other and trying to play team defense because that's what it takes to win big ballgames" said Lemuel Lackey "I think we've kind of displayed that late in the season and at this time of year you want to have your best performances"

It's a 7:30 kick off Friday in the land of the Wildcats
