Undated--Laney, Aquinas and Jenkins County have all advanced into the state final four in the Georgia high school ranks.
In Class 2-A, Laney defeated Macon County 73-46 to advance. The Wildcats pretty much led start to finish and had a 17 point lead at the break and rolled from there.
Jervon Walker led the way with 18 points. They will now play at Georgia College & State in the state semifinals for the second straight year.
In Class 1-A, Aquinas blew out Excel Christian 67 to 40. This game was pretty much never in doubt as the Irish led by as many as 30 en route to the easy.
Ahmed Hill tallied a game high 25 points while Michael Scott added 17 in the win. They will play their state semifinal game Friday at Kennesaw State.
Also in 1-A, it was Jenkins County advancing to the final four for the public schools with a 75-70 win over Seminole County. They will take on Wilkinson County in the state semis at Fort Valley State.
In class 3-A, Washington County saw their season end. The Golden Hawks fell to Savannah 61-57
