Martinez, Ga--No doubt about it, there's going to be plenty of eyes watching Lakeside this year and how they do. You have a five star prospect on your roster with Rashad Roundtree, you have a new coach in Steve Hibbitts and you have a playoff team from a year ago.

It's an experienced group with a lot of talent and that's why people are expecting them to win. Among them, coach Hibbitts. He says the kids have been putting in the work on and off the field as they want to be truely hitting their stride in two weeks.

"We want to go ahead and jump into it and be ready from the get go but obviously conditioning is the main thing." said Steve Hibbitts "We scrimmage on August 14th and we want to be ready for that so we definitely want to be hitting our peak on the 22nd when we have to go to North Augusta.

"Everybody is on the same page, everybody is going to be ready. You know, gameday everybody has to be good and ready and know the game plan and if we do that, we can win." said Ismael Bethel

While the secondary and roundtree are getting lots of attention, hibbitts thinks his running backs are underrated. Josh Jones, Andrew Studstill and Jalen Harrison are pushing each other for playing time. No question the potential is there, but potential needs to show up on the field to be successful.
