Lady Pacers work ethic leads to lofty ranking

Tuesday January 8, 2013

Aiken, SC--11 games into the season and the Lady Pacer of USC Aiken remain perfect. The now fourth ranked team in the nation continue to fly high with no signs of a let down.

On average, the squad has been outscoring their opponets by 20 points a ballgame. They dominate pretty much every category including one that doesn't show up on paper, hard work. They don't play til Saturday, but this squad has the energy and focus every single day at practice.

We're always hungry, we're always ready for practice, we're always ready to get better" said Porsha Martin "we're always coming in every day, that's what we do. the pressure doesn't matter, whether we're 11 and 0, 12-0, 5-1, it doesn't matter."

"We had a neutral person walk by the gym the other day and commented on how hard we practice, I can't believe you guys are undefeated and practice so hard and I said well, that's probably why we are undefeated."

A couple of big tests upcoming for Mike Brandt and the troops. They take on a pretty good Montevallo team saturday followed by a potential battle of the unbeatens against now third ranked Clayton State next Wednesday.
