Lincolnton, Ga--When you come from a small town like Lincolnton and you make it big, say to the NFL, you can have a big impact on the kids when you return home. That's just what Jarius Wynn did earlier today.
The current free agent stopped in at the Lincoln County elmentary school to give the kids a treat. For some classes, he read books to them, for others, gave some life lessons and answered the questions they had. Its a treat for not only the kids, but for Wynn himself.
"It's a great feeling to come home and give back to the community" said Jarius Wynn "I haven't done it in a while. I did it this summer for football, but I just wanted to come back and show them how important it was to have an education and listen to the teachers because it grooms them to make them who they are."
Wynn has been in the NFL since 2009 and spent part of this past season in Dallas, before then with the Chargers. Right now, he's a free agent and can sign with anyone looking for his defensive service.
