Feb. 9, 2014 CARROLTON, Ga. – The Jaguar Baseball team cleaned up at West Georgia to win the series 2-1 with a 6-1 game-three final over the Wolves led by GRU Augusta freshman Frank Warren’s productive seven innings pitched

Bradley Dennis doubled to left center for the Jaguars (3-3) in his first at bat and Reydel Gonzalez singled back up the middle for an easy 1-0 lead. The Wolves (3-4) tied it with one run off GRU lefty-handed starter Frank Warren. It was the only one Warren would allow as the Jags’ bats came alive and their starter settled in.

A 3-1 game after GRU plated two in the sixth, the Jaguars blew it open with three more in the seventh to take the series with a 6-1 final. Warren (1-0) tossed 7.0 innings in his second start and allowed four hits for one. Tyler Brown pitched two innings of relief work to match his two hits allowed with two strikeouts.

Senior Kevin Dodson in his first game back from injury, posted a 2-for-3 day with two RBI’s in his senior-year debut. Hunter Boose and Jeff Rice each had two hits and two scored runs and JD Sabo went 2-for-5. The Jaguars outhit the Wolves 13-to-6.

The Jaguars play a non-conference game at Erskine slated for Monday Feb. 10 for a 2:00 p.m. first pitch.
