Augusta, Ga--Post season ready to crank up in the Peach Belt Conference. All four area programs will be in Columbus in the next few days. That includes the Augusta State men, who had to win and get in over the weekend.
But now Dip Metress and the boys are back and all bets are off. In the past month and a half, the Jags have reinvented themselves and have become, well, lets be honest, boring. A slow down, methoidcal offense with out a lot of flash and dash. They've gotten better at making it work.
"It's not fun, it's not fun playing this way, but they've embraced the challenge" said Dip Metress "They knew when everything went down, we were shorthanded and we had some injuries to go on top of it. So they've embraced it, they've gotten better at it and it's a frustrating style to play against."
Jags take on top seed Montevallo, but the Falcons are also in no hurry to shoot the ball. Metress expects the game to be in the 40's which could give ASU a chance to win. That game is slated for friday at 7 at Columbus State.
