Howell tries to play his way back to the Masters

Thursday, March 20, 2014

Orlando, Fl--Hard to believe but Charles Howell III has been on the PGA Tour for 13 years now. Even harder to believe he has just two PGA Tour wins, the last one back in 2007. His game is good though and still trying to get back to the Masters.

While he's played in several Masters, he's yet to qualify this year. With the new wrap around tour schedule, Howell has already posted five top ten finishes. Unfortunately for him, not good enough to get that coveted invite to here. He's hoping to change that this week.

"It's been a good start to the year" said Charles Howell III "And this year is a little bit different with the wrap-around schedule so we started in October. It's been nice, but obviously I'd like to find my way to get into the tournament in Augusta in a few weeks but if not, still it's been a good start."

There's not one particular aspect of the game that has him concerned, but he's been working more on the short game with hopes of saving strokes every week he plays.
