Evans, Ga--Two wins away from a state title, that's all that stands in the way of Greenbrier from the sixth crown in school history. They certainly haven't made it easy, but have had a lot of fun along the way.
Seems like every game in the post season they've been playing from behind. But it hasn't detered them one bit. Part of it is experience. Eight seniors on the roster. Those seniors should be walking across the stage saturday for graduation, instead, they'll gun for a part of history.
"Austin (Robinson) put it you can still get your diploma and not walk but you can't win a state championship and not show up" said Christian Hill
"The thing is, they really enjoy playing" said Chirs Wilkins "These eight seniors, most of them played together since they were little kids, so for them to be playing for a state championship, whether they were walking across the stage or playing wiffle ball in the back yard, I think they just want to be together."
Greenbrier travels to Pope Saturday afternoon at 3 for a double header. If they split, the third and deciding game would be Monday, also at 3.
