Greenbrier lean on seniors but underclassmen playing big rolls

Evans, Ga--If it's late in the softball season it must be winning time at the home of the Wolfpack. 16 region titles for Greenbrier and now it's off to the region tournament later this week.

They will come in with a 24-4 record and a lot of dominating performances. What makes this team a little different then the past, just three seniors leading the charge. Plenty of youngsters are playing big rolls at Greenbrier and producing. Even with the youth, it still begins and ends with the seniors.

"It's something from a leadership stand point, it's not something I'm doing, it's something that our seniors are doing and they understand this is their team" said Garrett Black "This is their last go around and you always see things diferently in the eyes of a senior and it's up to our underclassmen to make we give them everything we have and to send them out on a good note"

Greenbrier takes on Houston County in the semifinals of the region tournament on Wednesday.
