After 120 wins in five seasons and back-to-back trips to the state championship series, Greenbrier High School fired Head Baseball Coach Chris Wilkins Monday.
No one close to the situation is commenting on the decision, but it's raising eyebrows in the community because of his success on the diamond.
Wilkins was named head coach before the 2009 season, and compiled a 120-60 overall record, including 27-12 in the postseason.
Wilkins has been at Greenbrier for nine years, including a stint as an assistant baseball coach before landing the head coach job. He graduated from Westside High School, playing for the legendary Gerald Barnes.
