Undated--Greenbrier and Harlem advance to Columbus and the elite eight in the state softball playoffs by sweeping doubleheaders Wednesday.
In Class 5-A, the Wolfpack won game one 3-2 after nearing squandering a 2-0 lead. Then in game two, a big fourth inning propelled them to an 8-6 win over Ola to complete the doubleheader sweep.
Harlem won their Class 2-A series by sweeping Bleckley County 5-0 and 10-1. Amber Garrett homered and pitched the Lady Bulldogs to victory in the series opener.
Both the Wolfpack and Bulldogs advance to Columbus and the Elite Eight as they vie for the state titles.
Washington Wilkes split their doubleheader Wednesday with Wesleyan.
