Georgia wide receiver Michael Bennett out with torn ACL

ATHENS------- University of Georgia redshirt sophomore wide
receiver Michael Bennett of Alpharetta has been diagnosed with a torn
anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee according to UGA head
coach Mark Richt.

Bennett suffered the injury toward the end of Tuesday¹s practice.
He will undergo reconstructive surgery on a yet to be determined date and will miss the remainder of the season according to Director of Sports Medicine Ron Courson.

Bennett is currently the team¹s leading receiver with 24 catches
for 345 yards and four touchdowns.
