GRU Augusta women remain in the hunt in Florida golf tournament

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Jaguar women’s golf team remains in the top five after the second day of the UCF Challenge at Eagle Creek Golf Club, led by senior Casey Kennedy’s round-two 71 to sit 5-under par.

Kennedy led GRU Augusta with a 71, while Jessica Haigwood and Eunice Yi remain at 2-over with each shooting a 72 in round two. Josefine Nyqvist shot a 74 for her second consecutive day and Christine Duschek-Hansen posted an 82. GRU sits at fifth place with a 289 overall. UCF held on to the top spot with a team-leading 285. Miami (282), Iowa State (281), East Tennessee State (286), and GRU (289) round out the top-five teams.

UCF’s Fanny Cnops remains number one individually, shooting a 70 after she shot a 68 yesterday to sit at 7-under par. UCF’s Ashley Holder sits second individually with a round two 68 to for 6-under and Kennedy holds down third to represent the Jags individually at 5-under with her 71.
