Augusta, Ga--We are quickly closing in on Super Bowl 46 as both the Patriots and Giants have gone through the dreaded media day where any and all questions become fair game. Of course our local tie to the game, Josey product and current Giants defensive back Deon Grant.
The former Eagle still has lots of ties to the area and comes back in the off season for various ventures. Grant was part of the state title team in 1995 where Josey went undefeated. A long time friend of his is current Josey offensive coordinator Raliegh Roundtree who says Deon hasn't changed much over the years.
"Probably his humility" said Raliegh Roundtree "He's always humble. You'll see him and you'll never know he's played 12 years. He's always cool. He'll walk around and everybody knows him but you wouldn't know who he is if you're somebody from the outside, he's just Deon and he just happens to be a professional football player."
Roundtree himself played a bunch of years in the NFL and is now rooting for Grant to complete the chance for three titles, a high school, college and NFL crown. Giants are 3 point underdogs against the Pats.
