North Augusta, SC--It's no longer a matter of if Fox Creek will win a state title in any given sport. It's a matter of when. If the boys basketball team has it's way, that will be in the next month or so.

A confident group, you bet. But for good reason. They sit with a perfect 7 and 0 mark in region play with their only losses overall to bigger programs. For a while it looked like Marques Sumner and Brandyn Quiller would have to carry the load, the rest of the team have really stepped up their game in the last few weeks. This team also has a ton of chemistry that like to hoop it up.

"Well these guys really, honestly, eat, sleep and breathe basketball" said Andrew Peckham "They love it, they have so much fun at practices. When we get there, they're ready to practice hard and get better so that makes my job easier when they have that mentality"

"I'll call Brandyn (Quiller) and be like, come on man, let's go put up some shots early in the morning or something like that. We're just talking and bonding together and all that" said Marques Sumner

Despite the success, the team knows there's plenty of work to be done and aren't hanging their hats on anything. Instead, back in the gym getting shots up and getting ready for the stretch drive and hopeful run in the playoffs.
