Jackson, SC--With the college season behind him, former Silver Bluff star Demarcus Lawrence has made a life changing decision and is forgoing his senior season at Boise State and is declaring for the NFL draft.
The 6-3, 245 pound defensive end had a monster season for the Broncos with 20 tackles for losses and 10 and a half sacks, among the best in the nation. After high school at the Bluff, Lawrence spent one season at a junior college, then made the move to Boise State where he immediately made an impact. The decision he made wasn't easy with a lot of factors involved.
"Timing had a huge part in this" said Demarcus Lawrence "Really coming from this small background, it's a dream come true. Dealing with the situation at Boise State, with the coaching changes, I really think it was the timing of the situation"
Lawrence played defensive end in college but said he could easily switch to an outside linebacking position if needed. Right now he's projected as a third round draft pick and knows the real work begins seeing he's looking for a job.
