Former GreenJacket pitcher Edwin Escobar will represent the World team in the upcoming Futures Game as part of the Major League Baseball All Star break
Escobar pitched in a handful of games in 2011and then spent most of 2012 in Augusta. During his time with the GreenJackets Escobar was 7-8 with a 2.96 ERA with 122 strikeouts in 130 innings pitched.
He is currently with the Giants Triple A team in Fresno, Ca.
The Futures Game is a showcase for up and coming talent on the edge of being in the big leagues and will take place during the All Star break in Minnesota.
