Waynesboro, Ga--DeVonte Lambert played a big roll in Burke County winning a state title a few years ago. The defensive end ended up at Georgia Military College for a couple of years, but now is off to the big time.
Earlier in the year, Lambert verbally said he was heading to Tennessee. But a late change in heart and a trip to the Auburn-Alabama game had Lambert today signing with the Tigers of Auburn. A lot went into this choice and the last two weeks haven't been easy as he weighed his options.
"It's been a tough road, ever since about two weeks ago" said Devonte Lambert "It's kind of been stressful but I'm glad I got all the weight off my shoulders. I talked with my family and made the best decision for myself and my family, for us"
Lambert had eight sacks with Georgia Military this year as they played for a national title. His parents were in full support of his final decision to play with for the Tigers.
