AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State Golf’s All-American duo of Henrik Norlander and Patrick Reed are taking their talents to the PGA Tour.

Both former Jaguar greats secured a spot on professional golf’s grandest stage Monday afternoon when they combined to shoot 10-under par with a pair of 5-under 67’s. They each tied for 22nd in the final round of the final stage of the PGA Tour’s Qualifying Tournament, better known as “Q School.” The top 25 finishers and ties earned their Tour card for the 2013 season.

A three-time All-American from Sweden who now calls Augusta home, Norlander reportedly holed a 6-foot par putt on his final hole to lock up his card. He shot a six-round total of 17-under 415 (67-74-68-71-68-67). Former Jaguar men’s golf coach Josh Gregory served as Norlander’s caddie through all three stages of Q School.

Reed, a two-time All-American for the Jaguars in 2010 and 2011, birdied three of his first four holes and stood four-under in his round through six holes before dropping a shot at the par-5 16th. He carded two more birdies on his back nine at the PGA West Stadium Course and parred his last two holes to secure his spot in the top 25. He tallied a six-round total of 17-under 415 (70-75-68-67-68-67).

Norlander, 25, and Reed, 22, were stalwarts for the Jaguars during their back-to-back victories at the NCAA Championships in 2010 and 2011. The duo combined for a 10-2 match play record in 2010 in Chattanooga, Tenn., and in Stillwater, Okla., in 2011, with Reed registering a perfect 6-0 mark.
