South Carolina (WRDW) -- Last Friday, it was the start of things on the Georgia side of the river. Today, the first official day for football practice in South Carolina.
A host of schools out at it first thing this morning as the season will be upon us before you know it. Williston, where they have a new head coach, to Aiken, who's looking to find some of that lost glory. It's a big day where the coaches are as ancy as the players knowing they want everything just right as they kick things off.
"A lot more excitement, a lot of first day jitters out of some of them, but kids are just excited to get the season started" said Williston Elko's Derek Youngblood
"This is a pressure packed day for me in trying to get the kids ready as far as the paper work is concerned." said Midland Valley's Rick Knight
"A lot of them are young and a lot of inexperience. We just have to be real, real patient and I didn't do a good job of that this morning" said Silver Bluff's Al Lown
