Atlanta, Ga--Two years ago the Atlanta Falcons won 13 games and went to the post season. Last year, 10 wins and a playoff trip. Both times, their playoff experience was a nightmare. This year could be a lot different.
First and foremost, if they win one of their last two, then they'll have home field advantage throughout the post season. They've yet to lose at the Georgia Dome. You may remember in the offseason the club brought in some more experience on defense that's paid off in a big way. Add in a confident quarterback, that's all a good thing.
"We have a veteran group of guys, guys that can play at a high level" said Matt Ryan " And I think our confidence level has been at a high level all year. Are we different then we've been in the past , absolutely. we are definitely a different football team. But I think our confidence level has been at a high level the entire year."
Falcons take on a struggling Detroit team saturday night in the motor city. The Lions have dropped six straigth. For Ryan, he's having a record setting year in completitions and passing yards and wants to add to those marks.
