Evans, Ga--There was a reason Evans coach Marty Jackson was smiling at the start of the season. He has some play makers with the knights, specifically in the backfield. Thursday against ARC, Ronnie Graham proved to be the feature back and what a show he put on.
Graham had touchdown runs of 41, 80 and 16 yards and accounted for 227 yards on the ground and is our Academy Sports and Outdoors player of the week. The first score was with some help of his full back while graham gives a lot of credit to the line play for the others. Graham set some big goals to start the year and is off on the right foot.
"Before that I told coach I'm going to try to aim for 1000 rushing yards for the whole season" said Ronnie Graham "So I said I'm going to get 100 yards per game and if I don't get 100 yards per game I'm going to come out on the field and like run a 1000 yards."
"He's very quick in the hole" said Marty Jackson "That's what gets you but he had a different gear Friday night, he really opened it up."
With Jay Grimes and Stephon Jacobs also capable of going big on the ground, Graham took advantage of his chance this past week.
