Waynesboro, Ga--It's become a pretty routine occurrence for the Edmund Burke baseball team, play in the GISA final four. With seven seniors leading the way, this team has all the confidence of winning their second title in three years.
Under the direction of Aaron Phillips the spartans have flourished over the years and are ready for another shot at the title. Up first, Fredrica in the semifinals. These kids are close as any seeing they've been playing ball together for years
"We're like brothers out here " said Hagen Wade "We practice well together, we don't fight, and like some of the other teams we had, we had like an "I" in team and this year we have a team here and we get along very well"
"We've won state championships so we have a lot of post season experienceand they're best friends off the field so that helps us on the field. These guys hate to lose, you know, they get after it pretty good."
If they get by Fredrica, they could face the defending champs in Brentwood. The region rivals host Gatewood in the other semifinal games. Both those series start on friday in Waynesboro and Sandersville respectively.
