It's been quite a year so far for Augusta boxer Justin DeLoach. The 19-year-old turned pro in January, and after an easy win Saturday, he's 3-0 in his young career.
None of that is what's most important to justin though.
If you watched the fight and noticed the hat DeLoach wore before and after his knock out win this past weekend, it said "Sky Lyric."
That's the name of his niece, Sky Allen, the same little girl killed last month.
After the incident, the young fighter considered taking a break from his career to stay with his family, but his brother gave him a different idea.
"He said, 'You go do this for Sky,' and that's what I did," DeLoach said. "Whoever watched the fight knew all I was saying was, 'This is for you, Sky Lyric.' The last time I saw my niece, I walked in the house and she was like, 'I saw you on TV!' I grabbed her, and I just hugged her. That was my sweetheart."
Justin plans to add a tattoo in memory of his niece.
As for his boxing career, he plans to be back in the ring again sometime in the next month.
