Augusta, Ga--One of the big ones tomorrow night comes from the Georgia independent ranks. For the first time in school history, Curtis Baptist is playing for a football region title.

The Crusaders are hosting Thomas Jefferson with the winner taking the crown. Nate Duffy has turned this Crusader program around and despite being young in age, they are a talented group. The seven wins, already a school record, and beating defending champs Rredrica really set the stage for the second half of the year.

"That was a major game changer for our team to just let us know that hey, we have the talent to go all the way I feel this year" said DJ Zeller

"You believe in your heart but it passes the eye test" said Nate Duffie "When you play with the defending state champions and are able to come away with a victory, it defintitely builds confidence"

Regardless of the outcome, Curtis will host at least one playoff game, something they've never done before. And remember this, they only have three seniors on the roster.
