Just two more days now. The countdown clock keeps running until Clemson hits the Georgia Dome turf Monday night against LSU.
The Tigers have grown into a perennial winner under Dabo Swinney, but there's one thing they're still chasing this season.
With ten wins, Clemson be just the fourth team in school history to finish with eleven W's in a season.
Last year, the Tigers had a shot at it in the Orange Bowl. They didn't close the deal, though, leaving the door open for this year's squad to be the first since the 1981 national championship team.
"Eleven wins in Clemson history has been a pretty rare thing," Swinney said. "1948, 1978, 1981. To be at the doorstep of that for the second year in a row is pretty special. It certainly would be great for us a to find a way to win this game and not have to answer that question anymore."
The Tigers won't have it easy against LSU's top ten defense.
Les Miles' team has won eleven games six times in the last nine years.
The two teams have met once in Atlanta. LSU took the win 10-7 in 1996.
