Sandersville, GA -- It seems, when a school has one good sports team, it's not long before it has a number of good teams. Especially in smaller schools, this rub off factor is a true reality, and if Brentwood's gridiron gang has any say this fall, they're going to prove it to everyone.

The spring sports season couldn't have gone much better for the Eagles.

The baseball team dominated anyone and everyone on their way to a GISA state championship, and on the track, the 4x100M relay team streaked its way to a state title.

Turns out, three of those four runners were on that baseball team, and now they make up part of a football squad that's thinking big.

Senior Zackiery Smith said, "It definitely carries over from one season to another. It keeps the fans excited because we're doing well in all our sports, and it keeps us excited because most of us are on the state championship teams and teams that are doing well in other sports. So, it keeps us excited."

Teammate and fellow senior Tory Mimbs agreed, adding, "The momentum that carries over from a track state championship or a baseball state championship, you just want to carry it over and keep it going. That's the best thing to do. You can't let them down."

The Eagles didn't have a great season last year, but that speed in the back field will make their wing t offense hard to stop this time around.
