Branden Kosolofsky returns to the RiverHawks

Augusta, GA--The Augusta RiverHawks professional hockey club, proud member of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) and reigning Coffey Trophy Champions, is pleased to announce that forward Branden Kosolofsky will be returning for the 2012-13 season.

The 23-year-old Bon Accord, Alberta native will don a RiverHawks' jersey for a third season. Kosolofsky spent his first professional season with the 'Hawks in 2010-11, where he posted 52 points, awarding him third-best on the roster for the season. Of those 52 points, five were game-winning goals.

"Branden brings a high-level of intensity and work ethic. He has the ability to bring a lot to the table and I'm happy to have him back this season," replied Rob Miller, Head Coach of the RiverHawks.

The 5'-10", 175lb. forward was fifth overall on the Team last season (2011-12) in points with 35. Additionally, Kosolofsky tallied the most penalty minutes for Augusta during last year's campaign (146).

"When Branden plays with his relentless tenacity, he is a very effective player. We will be looking for him to utilize his great speed to create more opportunities for himself and his teammates. I fully expect him to be complimentary to the talent we have coming to Camp and provide balance throughout the line-up," commented Mark Richards, President of the RiverHawks.

Kosolofsky spent his junior career in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) and the Maritime Junior A Hockey League (MJAHL).
