It's official in Bamberg. One of the best tight end prospects in the nation is ready to be a Gamecock.
Kevin "KC" Crosby hasn't even started his senior year of high school, but after receiving nearly fifty scholarship offers already, he wanted to close the book on this stressful chapter of his life.
He came into Saturday choosing between South Carolina, Alabama and Florida, but in the end, his original favorite won out.
"They were my first offer as a freshman," Crosby said. "They've been there from the beginning, and as the recruiting process has gone on they've shown me a lot of love. That's where I feel like I fit in the best up there, and I feel like I can excel in their program in academics and on the field."
Crosby said he didn't really make his final decision until Friday night after praying on it for awhile.
His dad, Bamberg-Ehrhardt Head Coach Butch Crosby, said the family was getting calls from teams clear up until 11:00 p.m. Friday night.
