Augusta State hopes to 'Jam the JBA' Wednesday night

Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012

Augusta, Ga--Two days after beating a good Montevallo team, Augusta State is set to crank it up again tomorrow night against 20th ranked Lincoln Memorial. If you plan on heading to the game, you need to take a different rout.

That's because the jags are hoping to jam the JBA with the contest being played at the James Brown Arena. It's the first time since 1995 augusta state has played at the arena, back then they defeated Paine College. It's a brand new floor and for augusta state, a chance for a different crowd to see a pretty good style of ball

"Anything we can do to enhance our program" said Dip Metress "Obviously we have a lot of fans that come to Christenberry Fieldhouse. Hopefully they'll make the couple of extra mile trek down to James Brown Boulevard and 7th street."

"Yea it's going to be fun. I grew up watching my cousin play a Christmas tournament here and I always wanted to play in it and I guess I got my chance now" said Harold Doby "It was nice, it use to be packed you know. I always dreamed of playing in an Arena like this and now we get our chance."

Here's the fun part, won't set ya back but a couple of bucks. Tickets are just $7 and if you bring an unwrapped gift, you'll get in for free. Jags are 5 and 0 and rolling here in the early going.
