If you've followed the Augusta basketball scene at all, you know the conversation of best player starts and ends with Aquinas' Ahmed Hill.
This summer he's only reinforced that thought, starting with a successful run against Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant.
"I just caught it, and I saw him coming out so I just shot it as fast as I could," Hill said. "It ended up going in so I was like, 'Wow, I just scored on Kevin Durant, probably the best basketball player in the world.'"
Hill is making the rounds at the nation's biggest camps. Last week, he scored eight points against Durant.
Starting Friday, it's out to Las Vegas to match up with NBA MVP and champion LeBron James.
"I'll probably drop a good 15 on him, you know," Hill laughed. "Really, I'm just looking forward to playing against some of the best players in the country."
At number 33 on ESPN's list of prospects, Hill is one of the nation's best players, and he hears about it everyday. From the coaches...
"I do get texts at 2:00 in the morning or 6:00 in the morning."
And from the fans.
"The fanbases pretty much write me every five seconds," Hill said. "I love the fan support because I feel like if they are already mentioning me on Twitter and I haven't even got there yet, then they would definitely come to a game and support."
With 33 offers on the table and North Carolina very likely to add to that, there are plenty of options to choose from, and he hopes to make his choice sooner rather than later.
"I was thinking about making one before September so I won't have to go into my senior year stressing about what college I want to go to."
Hill said he only has his college decision narrowed down to eleven or twelve schools right now, so he still has a lot of work to do to make his decision in the next couple months.
