Undated--Four more area athletes will play at the next level including basketball player Robert Turner who's headed to Texas Tech in the fall.

Turner finished his high school career at Laney but before that, played with the Aquinas. After his high school days, he played a couple of years at New Mexico junior college where he caught the eyes of coach Tubb Smith and Texas Tech.

Three North Augusta kids finalizing their plans to play sports at the next level.

Tavarez Hall will play basketball at St Augustine, Eric Collins will swim at the Naval Academy and Zach Wilson will play baseball for USC Sumter. Collins holds pretty much ever swimming record for the Jackets at the school and won a pair of state titles as well. Getting into the Naval Acadmey, not exactly the easiest of procedures that started several months ago.

"I had four interviews" said Eric Collins "One with the local blue gold officer and then two with senators, one with the local congressman and so those were good, but I thought overall they went well. It was very intimidating to being in a room with highly qualified military officals but I thought it was good preparation for what I've got coming up."

Collins isn't the only family swimmer at the collegiate level, his sister swims at North Carolina State.
