Aquinas looks to end the drought against Lincoln County

Tuesday October 8, 2013

Augusta, Ga--Aquinas and Lincoln County meeting up this week. The Irish certainly don't need a reminder on their history with the Red Devils. Well, here it is anyway, Lincoln County is entering the match up with thirty two straight wins.

This one has been marked down on the Irish calendar for quite some time. Hosting the Red Devils last year, they kept it close in a 20-13 loss decided in the final minute. May be another close one friday in Lincolnton. The Irish are looking forward to it.

"I've been thinking about Lincoln County all season. You want to think about your next opponent and I have been. I've just been keeping that game in the back of my mind. It's going to be a big game." said Liam Welch

"They were focused as soon as the game was over Friday night in Hancock. There wasn't a whole lot of talking on the bus. They were all ready to go." added James Leonard

Interesting note in this series, Campbell lost his first meeting against Aquinas, 45-0. And also, this seems to be the youngest coach in the state going against the oldest coach of Georgia
