May 9, 2014 The Westminster football program is still in its infancy-- it's only four years old.

For three of them, Andrew Bryan has been their head coach. That will change this year.

Bryan is stepping down as head coach, but will remain the school's athletic director and be an assistant coach with the football team.

During his three years at the helm, Westminster finished right at .500 with a 16-16 record. The past two seasons the Wildcats showed significant improvement.

The program has hired Steve Ackley as the new head coach to replace Bryan. Ackley played football at Liberty University and was working in Lynchburg, Virginia. He'll also serve in other capacities at Westminster.
