Aiken hires Brian Neal as new football head coach

Thursday June 6, 2013

Aiken, SC--It's now a done deal, Aiken has found a football coach to replace Carey Johnson. They didn't go that far as brian Neal of McCormick takes over in charge of the hornet program.

Neal really turned things around quickly at McCormick in two short years. His first season, the Chiefs went just 3 and 9. Then last year, 11 and 3 as they played for a state title on top of it all.

He now takes over for long time Aiken coach Carey Johnson. The Hornets have struggled lately and posted just a 2 and 9 mark this past year. Johnson has stepped down as head coach but remains as athletic director at Aiken.
