MARTINEZ, Ga. (WRDW) -- Just over a month away from one of the top American Junior Golf Association tournaments in the country. It's the E-Z Go Vaughn Taylor Invitational, and Thursday, the kick off for the event.
This is the fourth year for the tournament and it's already received numerous awards and this year has been selected as the AJGA top event nationwide. A credit to the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. Vaughn Taylor is a new dad, and was on hand and is appreciative to having his name associated with such a first class golf tournament.
"Quite amazing job these guys have done on this tournament," said Vaughn Taylor. "I mean it's run like a tour event and these guys take pride in it and it's a huge accomplishment and I'm really proud for them and proud to have my name on it."
For Taylor, he's now on the Web.Com Tour this year and trying to get back his PGA playing privileges. He says having a son makes it tough to leave at times, but makes it easier when he comes home from tournaments.
