Sibling Rivalry at Charles Howell Tournament

Sibling rivalry is the name of the game at the Charles Howell III Junior Golf Championship this week...Specifically on the girls' side.

Taylor and Ashlan Ramsey are running away with the tournament. The only problem is, they can't get away from each other.

Taylor hit the course today with a two-shot lead over her younger sister, but Ashlan went 3-under on the last 3 holes to close in on big sis at 3-under par.

So tomorrow the pair will go head-to-head. Low score takes the tournament. And that's just the way the pair wants it.

Ashlan said, "It'll be interesting. It's been a very long time since we've played in a final group together, but I'm excited to do it."

Taylor added with a laugh, "I'm really happy that we're playing together, and I can't wait to beat her."

The Ramseys aren't the only ones at 4-under going into the last day.

Dru Love (Davis' son) and Evans product Cody Shafer are leading the boys draw with that same score.

I would like to thank Jake Young for the fine reporting that he has done on the sibling rivalry between Taylor and Ashlan Ramsey. WRDW has always covered the events fairly. Augusta and West Lake have been very good to the Ramsey girls. However, your competative station is covering on the boys in this Charles Howell Tournament as though only the boys are competing.
