AUGUSTA---On Friday, March 19, the Augusta Museum of History will open a permanent exhibit entitled "Celebrating a Grand Tradition, the Sport of Golf".
According to a news release, the exhibit will include information on the technological evolution of clubs, balls and accessories, the Augusta area's golf heritage, and the people who have played golf in Augusta.
Special items on display will include the latest in golf car technology and memorabilia from famous players such as Bobby Jones, Petty Berg, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus.
